Norwich Foodbank

We have boxes in our churches for donations to the Foodbank, and these are delivered to the centre in Norwich. We’ve just had notification from them that we have donated a total of more than 1,051kg of food.

Based on the average weight of the food boxes they supply, this would be enough food to feed approximately 140 local people, who are in crisis, for 3 days.  Well done all!

The Foodbank newsletter is available here

And the shopping list showing what is currently needed can be found here https://www.networknorwich.co.uk/Articles/210559/Network_Norwich_and_Norfolk/Partners/Norwich_Foodbank/Admin_Articles/What_food_do_we_need.aspx

COVID-19 and our Churches

With the lifting of Government guidelines, we are moving forward in our churches very gradually, to allow all to attend safely. We suggest the following as a guide for those attending services.

HANDS: Please clean your hands with the hand sanitiser provided as you enter the Church

FACE: We strongly encourage you to continue using a face covering while there are other people around

SPACE: Please be respectful that others may not feel as comfortable being close together as you may do

Our churches are now once again open every day. Please make use of the hand sanitiser, and take the usual precautions to keep yourself safe. Please note that you are encouraged to wear a mask in the church buildings.

Take a look at our ‘For You‘ to access resources to use from home.

If you would like to discuss a wedding or a baptism, please telephone the Rector, The Reverend Liz Jump 01603 784150, or email rector@wroxhambenefice.org
