Here we are at the end of September and the 15th Sunday after Trinity. Next week we enter October, and hold our Harvest Service at Wroxham. This year feels as though it has both flown by, and dragged its heels!
The changes to the Government advice about COVID continues to update and evolve, and we are doing the same in the churches as we respond to it. We are currently still allowed to meet on a Sunday, and we continue to enjoy doing so in a COVID safe way. I know many of you have felt able to come back, and it is good to be with you again. But for those of you who don’t yet feel able to return, there is much still on offer….
From the national church we have a Harvest celebration –
Join Bishop Helen-Ann Hartley for this week’s Harvest Festival service. This online service includes reflections on climate change, farming and the beauty of nature.
From the Church of England this week, we have a service making the start of the new school year.
Featuring contributions from St Thomas CofE Academy, this online service is led by Rev Tim Bateman from Gas Street Church, recognising teachers and school staff as unsung heroes and praying for the start of the new school year. The Dean of Birmingham, Matt Thompson, preaches and Sarah Smith, Director of Education for the Church of England in Birmingham, shares a reflection.
